In communities like Blaine, Ham Lake, and Columbus, where public transit options are often limited, we need to prioritize expanding affordable and accessible transportation. Our goal is to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas by creating better connections to neighboring cities, making it easier for people to commute, access jobs, and participate fully in the local economy. Improving infrastructure isn't just about paving roads—it's about building stronger, more connected communities.
Investing in Mental Health
Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet for too long, it's been underfunded and overlooked. I will work to ensure that mental health care is accessible, affordable, and fully integrated into our healthcare system. This means securing funding for more mental health professionals in our schools, expanding community-based mental health services, and reducing the stigma around seeking help. We must prioritize early intervention, provide robust support networks, and make sure our laws reflect the growing need for mental health resources. By addressing mental health challenges head-on, we can build a healthier, more resilient community in Blaine, Ham Lake, and Columbus.
Fair and Effective Tax Policies
I am committed to reducing the overall tax burden on families and small businesses, ensuring they can thrive without unnecessary financial strain. At the same time, we need to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely, funding essential services like education, infrastructure, and public safety, while holding the government accountable for every dollar spent.
